Kishwaukee College Bookstore
Kishwaukee College Bookstore is a full-service store run with you, the student in mind. In addition to required and optional textbooks for your classes we have a great variety of merchandise at competitive prices. We offer used books whenever possible and we also offer great prices for your books during our school buyback at the end of each term. A rental program will be offered for Spring 2013.
The Bookstore is your one-stop shop offering insignia clothing & gifts, backpacks, health and beauty aids, electronics, software, study aids, batteries , snacks, postage stamps, greeting cards and all of your basic school supplies.
To save you money, we always stock used textbooks when available.
Buying Your Books
You have three options for purchasing your textbooks:
- In Person: Bring your schedule and an ID and we will be glad to pull the correct books for you.
- By Phone: Just call 815-825-2086, ext. 2270 or 3700. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover orders only.
- Online: Order your books online through a secure server with Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. Your books can be picked up in the Bookstore or shipped directly to you.
You can also see a complete list of new and used textbooks for your courses at our online Bookstore along with titles titles, pricing, ISBN's, and books eligible for rental. .
Renting Your Books
Many textbooks will now be available to rent. You will need a valid credit or debit card to rent. You will also need your schedule so that we can pull the correct books for you. You may use financial aid in the store to rent books but you will still need a valid credit card as security for the rental return. You will be able to rent in person or at our online Bookstore. Financial aid transactions can only be completed in the store. Rentals may be returned directly to the Bookstore.
Monday - Friday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Fall and Spring Semester
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 6:30 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Extended hours are offered throughout the year during rush and buy-back. Check the catalog for a list of additional hours.
Book buy-back will be the week of finals at the end of each term. One buyback will be held in August for all summer sessions. Buyback is also done all year round for wholesale book companies at prices set by them. Please refer to our buyback information for further explanations of the book buy back process.
100% refunds are offered the first 10 business days of the Fall and Spring semesters and for all 16 week sessions and during the first five (5) business days of each summer session and all 4 and 8 week sessions. To qualify for a full refund books must be in their original, re-saleable condition. A receipt is required for all refunds and exchanges along with a copy of your class schedule for session verification. Shrink-wrapped items may not qualify for full refunds.
If you order your books at our online site, new books may be substituted for used if unavailable. All prices are subject to change.
