Quality

Kishwaukee College faculty members are among the best in the state.  Our faculty are active in professional organizations and present across the county, participate in exchanges, write textbooks, develop new pedagogy, and are cited for their work.  But with all these professional accomplishments, their highest achievements lie within the teacher-student relationship.  Their intensity and dedication creates academic programs that are respected and recognized across Illinois by universities, businesses, and employers.

Your gift will directly help maintain the academic integrity and quality of Kishwaukee College.

Affordability

The high academic quality of Kishwaukee College prepares students to excel in their chosen careers and at the universities that recruit them.  Yet, Kishwaukee College maintains a policy of keeping a college education affordable.  An educated citizen creates a better community for everyone, but that means keeping a college education within reach for as many people as possible.  Kishwaukee College has made this a cornerstone of its mission since first opening its doors.  Years of being fiscally responsible has made it possible to fulfill this aspect of the College mission.  However, maintaining affordability for students and maintaining facilities that allow for a quality academic experience can be challenging.  The Kishwaukee College Foundation makes certain that both affordability and quality stay within reach with the help of dedicated and forward-thinking donors.

Your gift will help maintain an affordable education for everyone in our community.

Impact on the Community

Since 1968, Kishwaukee College has graduated thousands of students with degrees, certificates, or combinations of the two.  Many students have gone on to four-ear institutions for bachelors degrees and continued for masters and doctorates, or gone on to law schools and medical schools.  Kishwaukee College alumni live all across the country and around the world.  Many are in our own backyard, local residents who remain in the area, creating a vibrant community.  Imagine our community without these Kishwaukee College alumni:

  • Cohen Barnes & Dan Halverson – owners, TBC Net, Inc.
  • Steve Irving – owner, Irving Construction
  • Joel & Joan Barczak – owners, Blumen Gardens
  • Tom McDermott – Rochelle Fire Chief (retired)
  • Ken Mundy – Sycamore Mayor
  • Keith Foster – Attorney
  • Dan Arnold – President, owner, founder, Road Ranger, LLC

Your gift will benefit our community by providing a well-educated workforce and community leaders for the future!
