Kishwaukee College is offering American Heart Association CPR courses that include certification/re-certification specifically for healthcare providers. Each class costs $55 and will be held at Kishwaukee College. The required textbook is available at the Kishwaukee College Bookstore and is not included in the cost of the class. Participants should wear comfortable clothing to class. To receive certification, no part of the class can be missed.
CPR for the Healthcare Providers covers the role of healthcare professionals who respond to cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies. Proper CPR skills, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), relieving foreign body airway obstructions, and using a bag mask will be presented.
This class will be offered at a wide variety of days to better accommodate healthcare providers’ schedules. Participants need to choose only one class date. The class dates for CPR for Healthcare Providers are: December 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, and 21. All classes will meet from 1 – 5:00p.m. in Room B2301 at Kishwaukee College.
