Kishwaukee College offers area employers several resources to help you connect with our students. We invite employers to participate in on-campus recruitment events, career panels, and as guest speakers. We announce your position with online job postings, as well as email, a Twitter feed, and an on-campus jobs board posting. Academic credit, paid or unpaid, internship programs allow you to help build your future workforce.
On-line Job Posting
This is the First Step in recruiting at the Career Center!
Register your organization with us on CollegeCentral.com/KishwaukeeCollege
This is a free site that will expose your job posting to Kishwaukee College students, alumni and district community members. Once you are registered and approved you may then post as many job opportunities as you would like for free.
If you are having difficulty filling a position, please let us know and we will 'push' it out via email and Twitter.
We have a Job Board outside of our office (accessible to students, alumni and community members) where we will post your open positions, local job fairs or company hiring events. We also send applicable job postings to department Faculty and students.
We host an annual Back-to-School Job Fair in September which is focused on students and features part-time, flexible schedule, temporary and internship positions. We also host a large Career Fair in April which is open to students, alumni and community members. Additionally, we will offer industry specific hiring events throughout the year.
On-Campus Recruitment Events
Recruitment events are welcome. We will reserve a table for you in high traffic areas such as near the Cafeteria or Library. We generally reserve tables from 11am - 1pm, Tuesday - Thursday.
An internship program allows you to help build your future workforce. Resumes and interviews give you a glimpse of a potential employee, but an internship lets you see the person at work in your business. You get extra help and the student gets a chance to develop professionally.
Internships can be for academic credit, paid or unpaid; but must follow the guidelines for educational experiences set by the Department of Labor.
We will post your Internship Position and send it out to students in applicable majors who have already met the requirements to complete an internship.
