Altrusa Scholarship given at Kish Awards Day

Kishwaukee College held its annual Awards Day ceremony on Tuesday, April 11, in Jenkins Auditorium.  Students across disciplines received awards recognizing their achievements and several scholarships were awarded, including the Altrusa International Scholarship. Altrusa International of DeKalb/Sycamore is a service club whose members include women from various professions. The local organization annually provides the Altrusa Scholarship to women who are returning to school to pursue a career. This year marks the 38th year that Altrusa has provided this scholarship to Kishwaukee College students. This year, Altrusa selected Kelly Kahoun, Shabbona, as the recipient. Kelly will graduate with her Associated in Science (A.S.) degree from Kishwaukee in May and will be entering the Radiologic Technology program at the College in Fall 2017.
